Rules of Legal Education

BCI Compliance

The institution complies with the norms and standards prescribed by the Bar Council of India for imparting legal education and recognition of degrees for enrolment as an advocate.

Approval & Affiliation

The institution is approved by the Bar Council of India and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University for the B.A. LL.B. (5 Year Integrated) course.

Course & Curriculum

The B.A. LL.B. (5 Year Integrated) programme follows the curriculum prescribed by the BCI Rules of Legal Education and the affiliating University.

Qualified Faculty

Full-time faculty are appointed as per the qualifications and student–teacher ratio prescribed by the Bar Council of India and the University.

Law Library

The library maintains bare Acts, textbooks, reference books, law reports and legal journals as required under the BCI norms for law colleges.

Moot Court Hall

A dedicated Moot Court Hall is maintained, and moot court exercises form part of the practical training papers prescribed by the BCI.

Legal Aid Clinic

A Legal Aid Clinic operates in the institution, enabling students to render pro bono legal services and take part in legal awareness activities.

Infrastructure & ICT

Classrooms, seminar hall, computer laboratory and ICT facilities are provided in line with the infrastructure norms prescribed for law colleges.

Attendance Norms

Students must maintain the minimum attendance prescribed under the BCI Rules of Legal Education to be eligible to appear for University examinations.

Admission & Intake

Admissions are made against the sanctioned intake through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) based on MH-CET, as per State and University norms.

Examination & Evaluation

Examinations, evaluation and award of the degree are governed by the rules of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
